L’Alberata aversana, il metodo di coltivazione con cui sono prodotti i vini Drengot, è ufficialmente candidata a diventare Patrimonio Culturale Immateriale della Campania.
La proposta, arrivata alla fine del 2018, è un altro passo in avanti nell’incessante lavoro di salvaguardia di una tradizione secolare, oggi in via di estinzione.
L’Inventario del Patrimonio Culturale Immateriale Campano (IPIC) nasce con lo scopo di catalogare il patrimonio culturale immateriale e le pratiche tradizionali connesse alle tradizioni, alle conoscenze, alle pratiche, della comunità campana. Risponde alla definizione data dalla Convenzione UNESCO per la salvaguardia del patrimonio culturale immateriale del 17 ottobre 2003, ratificata dall’Italia con legge n°167/2007.
La “vendemmia eroica” potrebbe dunque presto entrare a far parte dell’IPIC.
Il perché dell’aggettivo “eroica” lo spiega direttamente il presidente della Pro Loco Michele Autiero che, per primo, ha avanzato la proposta: «Eroica perché i coltivatori, con abilità e maestria, riescono ad arrampicarsi fino a 15 metri di altezza con l’ausilio del proprio Scalillo, ossia una scala stretta e lunga personalizzata. I pioli, infatti, sono posti ad una distanza tale da permettere al “Vilignatore” di incastrarvi il ginocchio e avere entrambe le mani libere per raccogliere l’uva. L’uva raccolta viene messa in una cesta, chiamata “Fescina”, a forma conica con estremità a punta in modo che quando arriva a terra, si conficca nel terreno e rimane stabile. Questa antica tecnica permette di raccogliere i grappoli a maturazione parziale in maniera tale da conservarne il tipico colore e grado di acidità che caratterizza poi la freschezza e l’asprezza del vino».
Secolarità dei vitigni di Asprinio
Ciò che amplifica il valore delle alberate aversane è anche la secolarità delle viti. Il “Ceppo della Vite”, così è chiamato il tronco della pianta, può raggiungere dimensioni fuori dal comune. Una caratteristica dovuta essenzialmente all’anzianità delle piante di Asprinio. Alcuni esemplari, infatti, raggiungono un’età media di 100 anni. La vite maritata agli alberi di pioppo diventa in questo modo un vero e proprio monumento archeologico, testimonianza diretta non solo della storia del territorio, ma anche del sacrificio e della dedizione delle mani che, nel corso degli anni, hanno curato quelle piante.
Una vendemmia che lascia a bocca aperta
La Vendemmia Eroica non può che far innamorare i fortunati che riescono ad assistervi.
Si svolge tra i filari dell’Alberata Aversana ed è una festa che coinvolge tutti. I pochi contadini esperti rimasti si arrampicano tra gli altissimi tralci delle viti, disegnando nel cielo forme sinuose che compiono movimenti simili a una danza di ringraziamento per un raccolto fiorente e prezioso.
La salvaguardia e il riconoscimento dell’importanza delle Alberate aversane è il frutto dell’impegno dei vari attori locali che, nel corso degli anni, hanno manifestato il loro interesse nella tutela di questo patrimonio naturalistico. Un primo grande obiettivo è stato raggiunto, ad esempio, il 9 maggio del 2016, quando il Consiglio Regionale della Regione Campania ha approvato all’unanimità la legge “Conservazione e valorizzazione delle Alberate aversane e delle viti maritate a pioppo”, che vincola i terreni ove insistono le Alberate Aversane.
Iscrivere la vite maritata nell’IPIC è un altro importante passo per preservare un patrimonio culturale immateriale che rischia di essere dimenticato, scomparendo nel nulla.
L’impegno di Drengot
L’attività di Drengot si fonda sulla necessità di dare un contributo concreto alla valorizzazione e protezione di questo patrimonio. I nostri vini, infatti, sono prodotti adoperando solo uva Asprinio coltivata nel pieno rispetto delle più antiche tradizioni. Sacrificio, amore per le proprie radici, artigianalità sono i pilastri su cui l’azienda vitivinicola fonda la propria attività. Una lotta contro il tempo e contro le leggi di mercato che penalizzano la lentezza e la meticolosità di un sistema di coltivazione eccezionale e irripetibile.
